“Those who call RSS a secret organisation, their eyes must have opened”: VHP’s Alok Kumar – World News Network

New Delhi [India], August 29 (ANI): Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Alok Kumar on Thursday said that those who believe that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh acts like a “secret organisation” will now have learned a lot about how RSS functions in the 3-day lecture series organised here in the national capital as part of its centenary celebrations.
“Those who say that RSS is a secret organisation, their eyes must have opened. Sarsanghchalak answered all questions clearly. I hope everyone has learned a lot about the RSS and all their doubts have been cleared,” VHP leader told ANI after attending the RSS event in New Delhi.
The allegations of RSS being a “secret” organisation have been repeated multiple times by Congress leaders, including party leader Rahul Gandhi.
Gandhi, while visiting the United Kingdom in 2023, claimed that RSS is a “secret society” which has captured various institutions of the country.
“You can call it (RSS) a secret society. It is built along the lines of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the idea is to use the democratic contest to come to power and then subvert the democratic contest afterwards. And it shocked me at how successful they have been at capturing the different institutions of our country… the press, the judiciary, Parliament, Election Commission — all the institutions are under pressure, under threat and controlled in one way or the other,” Gandhi said during an interaction at Chatham House, London, UK in March 2023.
Meanwhile, RSS leader Indresh Kumar also called for detailed discussions to be held on the remarks made by Sarsanghchalak (chief) Mohan Bhagwat, saying that all the topics discussed are the “basic needs of the present society.”
“Detailed discussions must be held on all the things he has said. No issue was less than the other. All are the basic needs of the present society, of Bharat and of the world. One should discuss this,” Kumar told reporters here.
During his lecture on Thursday, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke on a variety of issues, including population control, the issue of ‘infiltration’ in the country, and also cleared the air on the speculation over leaders being asked to retire when they reach 75 years of age.
Bhagwat urged every Indian citizen to consider having three children, saying that population growth can serve as both an asset and a burden, but a stable birth rate will help keep the population in control while maintaining an acceptable level.
“Our country’s population policy recommends 2.1 children, on average. But when one has children, then they don’t have 0.1 children. In maths, 2.1 is 2, but with the birth of children after 2, it is 3, which is why 2.1 means 3. Every citizen should see that there should be three children in his/her family,” Bhagwat said on Thursday during the centenary celebrations of RSS in New Delhi.
He also reiterated that Islam has been a part of India since its introduction, and will remain in the country, while those who think that the religion will vanish are “not guided by Hindu thought”.
Talking about alleged ‘infiltration,’ he mentioned, “Infiltration must be stopped. The government is making some efforts and moving ahead gradually. Muslims living in our country are also citizens. They too need employment. If you want to provide jobs to Muslims, give them to our own citizens. Why should we give it to those who come from outside? Their own countries should take responsibility for them.”
The RSS, founded in 1925, began a year-long celebration to mark its 100th anniversary. This year, on Vijayadashami, the organisation will complete 100 years.
The three-day lecture series, launched by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, concluded on August 28, featuring evening discussions each day.
On the first day (August 26), the focus was on the 100-year journey of the RSS. The second day focused on its future vision, while the third day featured an interactive question-and-answer session with Mohan Bhagwat. (ANI)
