Rohtak (Haryana) [India], May 7 (ANI): Former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the party will be wiped out from the state and Congress will win all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
“BJP is going to be wiped out in the state. Congress party will win 10 out of 10 Lok Sabha seats. Unemployment has reached its peak while 2 lakh posts are lying vacant in the state. As soon as the Congress government comes, an environment will be created and investment will be made in the state, only then unemployment will go away. No investment has come in the state during the last 10 years, due to which instead of progressing, the state has gone into the trough,” said Bhupinder Singh Hooda while talking to journalists at his residence.
Further talking about the poll campaign Hooda said, “The way BJP has released its list of star campaigners. In the same manner, big leaders of Congress will also campaign in the state, the list of which is going to be released soon.”
Hooda also alleged Haryana government entangled people in papers and described the family identity card as a letter that troubles the family.
The Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), or Family ID, is an eight-character alphanumeric identifier that the Haryana government issues to each family in the state. The PPP’s main goal is to ensure that eligible families receive government services and schemes and that the state government can monitor the effectiveness of these programs.
Commenting on Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and former CM Manohar Lal Khattar filing nomination, Hooda said, “Chief Ministers and former Chief Ministers are filing nominations and in democracy, everyone has the freedom to contest elections and can express their views.”
Meanwhile, after filing his nomination for BJP candidate from Karnal Lok Sabha seat, Manohar Lal Khattar said, “The people are excited and I can say that BJP will win all 10 Lok Sabha seats of Haryana and Karnal Assembly seat with a huge margin.”
CM Saini is contesting the assembly bypoll from Karnal, the seat that Khattar vacated for him and he also filed his nomination.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the state, the BJP swept the state, capturing all 10 seats and the Karnal Lok Sabha seat witnessed 68.31 per cent votes. The BJP’s nominee, Sanjay Bhatia, won by a whopping margin of over 6 lakh votes in the last Lok Sabha election.
In the 2014 elections, the BJP won 7 seats, while the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 2 seats and the Congress secured only one seat. From the same Karnal Lok Sabha seat, the BJP’s Ashwini Kumar had won in 2014, too.
The Lok Sabha elections for the 10 parliamentary constituencies of Haryana are going to be held in a single phase on May 25. (ANI)
